IRONMAN EXMOOR 70.3
Aces member Emma Jane Richards completed the gruelling course in 7hrs 3mins - sad it was the last time for the event to be held at Wimbleball.
BYNEA 10-MILE
TIME TRIAL
Well done to Katherine Devonald Brace with a time of 26.13 mins and Tim Brace in 25. 15 mins
CALDEY ISLAND
10KM and 5KM RUN
Saturday saw two boats leave Tenby Harbour for Caldey for our annual run.
Many thanks to Ben Childs and Paul Slack, who organised this event, the islanders who marshalled the undulating course, Ann, Karen, Sydney, Wendy, Luke and Sophie, who worked the water station, Rhys Jordan from Feel Good Inc, who once again organised the timings, and Frank Miller, who sounded the horn of the fire engine to start the race.
The monks gave their support by clapping all the runners, including Brother Peter Diblic, who, running barefoot, came home in second place once again.
Medals were handed out to all and the trophy was won by Aces member Dan Mumford, while in third place was Aces member David Kent (better known as Dave, Dave, Dave!)
Great to see all the kids running and enjoying themselves - except for Dave Poole who was caught out in rounders by young Luke!
Many thanks to all who came - it was a lovely day.
