Tenby Tennis Club held its annual summer camp on four Wednesdays in August.

Over 50 children of all ages came along to enjoy mornings filled with coaching and fun tennis games on the courts (and when the rain came, in the gymnasium) at Greenhill School. Some of the children already regularly attend Tenby Tennis Club and some were old faces returning for more fun on the courts and everyone had a great time with lots of laughter, excitement and enjoyable tennis.

A tournament for the older players was also held, which was fiercely contested with a terrific standard of tennis and some intense battles played out.

Despite the drizzle everyone had a good time and it was a very close contest, with Seren Allan and Leo Halton Davies narrowly clinching victory. Well done everyone.

“We had a lovely time at Summer Camp this year, with a great bunch of players who all did really well,” commented Iân Morris, senior coach at Tenby Tennis Club.

“There was a lovely atmosphere and everyone played some great tennis. The tournament was a fantastic standard, with some truly excellent tennis from all players – a real joy to see. A thoroughly enjoyable time was had by all!”
