Valentine's it may have been, but there was no love lost in the third round of the Senior Cup as Narberth inched past current holders Tenby in an exhilarating game at the Clicketts.

A Darryl Mansbridge header gave the home side a deserved 1-0 lead at the break, before Callum O'Connell equalised within the first minute of the second half after a defensive blunder allowed him in.

Jack Christopher looked to have won the game for the Seasiders with their second of the game, but a fine free-kick by Dorian Davies put the game into extra-time.

With no goals coming during that period, the match was decided on penalties and Narberth prevailed 4-2, with player manager Matthew Price netting the decisive one for the visitors.

"I'd missed my previous two (penalty) efforts, so I was a little nervous knowing it could have been decisive, so you can imagine how relieved I was when it went in.

"It was a big win for us. Tenby are a good side, they had beaten Hakin away last weekend and they are the current cup holders, so they would have been thinking they could do it again, but we deserved this win and will be looking forward to our semi on the Bridge Meadow as we've not played there for a while.

"We're in the last eight of the West Wales Cup, too, so hopefully we can keep our cup run going."

St. Clears, meanwhile, were in league action as they felt the full wrath of Hakin United's defeat last weekend going down 3-1 at home against the champions elect.

Ian Derbyshire's goal gave the Saints hope, but goals by Gareth Fawcett, Justin Harding and James Stanmore sealed the deal for the visitors.

Division Three leaders Lamphey went down to a shock 2-1 defeat at Broad Haven, despite Ross Fortune's goal, while it was better news for Lawrenny as a Matthew Lewis strike helped them overcome Milford United seconds 1-0.

There was an interesting tussle at Bush Camp as Pennar Robin's seconds drew 3-3 with Cosheston Cougars.

Wayne Boswell scored all three for the visitors, while Carl Rees nipped in for two for the hosts, with Sean Edmundson having the other.

Pennar thirds also scored three in their game against Manorbier United, but it was the visitors who finished the game on a high note after winning 4-3.

Michael Groves struck the first for the hosts and Brandan Fienhage struck twice in the Mega Kebab sponsored clash, while a goal from Neil Lane and three by Jordan Richards gave them the win.
