So January has come and gone, yet it's the same old story for the football clubs of Pembrokeshire as heavy rain and waterlogged pitches decimated the weekend's programme.
Of all the fixtures that were scheduled to take place, only three went ahead, one each in divisions two, three and five.
Johnston beat Milford Athletic 3-2 in division two, while in division three, Camrose beat Hubberston 2-1. The biggest and best win of the day was at Camrose seconds where Narberth thirds hammered them 5-1.
The thirds were helped by Morgan Preece and it was no surprise to see the first team regular get on the scoresheet in such a one-sided game.
He grabbed the visitors' second after Nigel Williams netted the first, with the other goals coming from Lewis Morgan and Ashley Williams, who completed a brace.
The weather disruption brings more annoyance to the clubs of the county as the season draws to a close, namely that many teams will be playing catch-up as the nights get lighter.
A few teams have managed to play 19 games, meaning they have just six remaining, but as always, Pendine are well behind the pack having played 13, just 50 per cent of the season's allocation.
If there is a silver lining to this perennial Seagull cloud, it's knowing they have enough quality to climb the table when the games do come thick and fast. They're in a mid-table position at present and that means it will only get better.
