Narberth were involved in one of the most extraordinary cup clashes ever seen in Pembrokeshire as their trip to Hakin ended in a loss, but no little drama.
When the wind is as strong as it was over the weekend, there are few places more exposed than the Obs, and so it proved on Saturday as the home side played with the elements in the first half and slammed in five goals. It wasn't all one-way traffic, however, as Narberth scored three of their own through the outstanding Jordan Richards, who scored two, and Morgan Preece.
The second half was less frenetic as the home side consolidated their lead yet they added their sixth 10 minutes into the half, before Jordan Williams scored to give the Bluebirds a faint glimmer of hope that never materialised.
With a game as thrilling and committed as this, it was no surprise to see two players shown the red card, with Hakin losing one player and Richard Henton being sent packing for Narberth, although Steve Jones admitted the decisions had no bearing on the game.
"We weren't as strong in defence as we have been, but our attacking play was right up there. It was an excellent game, but you have to applaud Hakin, they're so clinical and so strong that the red cards mattered little in the end."
Lawrenny went the same way as Narberth as they excited against Pennar Robins. Their game wasn't as exciting, however (unless you're a Pennar player of course), as they went down 5-0.
In league action, Saundersfoot Sports entertained Solva and took advantage of their home conditions to notch up a 4-2 win.

Kilgetty defeated Letterston 1-0, with Jake Proctor scoring, while St. Clears slammed in five against Goodwick United seconds as they won 5-2. Nathan Evans finished the game with a brac,e before Sean Seymour Davies and Eddie Wiggins both scored to complete the rout.
In division three, Tenby seconds travelled to Hubberston and came away from a tricky clash with a 2-1 victory to their name. Richard Tebbutt and Rhys Winter were the men to score in what was their 10th win of the season.
Narberth seconds had a day to remember at home to Cosheston as they won 2-1. Paul Phillips continues to show his class as he scored the first, before Ryan Williams scored the second to seal the win.
Manorbier United gained an excellent win away at Merlins Bridge seconds as they won 4-1.
In-form striker Mike Ryder continued to display his rich vein as he completed a hat-trick, with Mike Brown netting the other.
Pendine's home game against Hundleton was postponed, while Carew seconds played host to Saundersfoot reserves and thrashed them 4-0.
James Hinchliffe scored twice for the home side, with Steffan Jenkins grabbing the others.
St. Florence entertained Pennar thirds and beat them 4-2 thanks to goals from Ben McDonnell, James Whitemore, Ashley Smith and George Wills, while in division five, Kilgetty seconds travelled to Cosheston seconds and lost 1-0.
Better news for St. Clears' seconds, however, as they beat Letterston 4-0.
Lawrenny seconds were away at Llangwm and lost 4-0, while the game between Manorbier United seconds and Fishguard was among those postponed.
