Prior to the match, the Seasiders were languishing at the base of the table with the Bluebirds sitting pretty at fourth yet that counted for nothing during 90 minutes of mind-blowing football.
Ashley Williams scored the only goal for the visitors as Sam Christopher, Darryl Mansbridge and Ashley Williams all scored, with the latter finding the back of the net twice for good measure, the second of which was a well-taken penalty.
The result moves Tenby out of the relegation zone although they are still level on points with Hundleton and Solva who are below them. Goal difference is the deciding factor in their progress up the division and it could be at the end of the season unless their improvement in recent weeks continues.
Saundersfoot Sports travelled to Monkton and came away with a draw following a 2-2 result at the Swifts.

Kilgetty were another team in derby action, and another team that was expected to win given their form good form yet they were held 1-1 at Carew.
Tom Arthur scored for the home side with the classy Adam Johns slotting one home for the visitors.
St. Clears had a good win away at Letterston as they triumphed 4-2.
Josh Jones and Nick Squire both scored for the Saints, alongside Sean Seymour-Davies who finished with a brace.
The first round of the Division Three Cup got under way with Tenby triumphing 2-0 over Fishguard away from while Lawrenny also had success away as they won 2-1 at Hubberston.
Narberth Seconds meanwhile went down 1-0 at home to their counterparts from Johnston.
Manorbier United were not in cup action although they did taste success in the league.
They travelled away to Cosheston Cougars and surprised many by winning 2-0 against the physicality of the home team as James Williams and Dave Blackwell both scored.
In Division Four, Pendine won their fourth game of the season as they excelled at home against Saundersfoot Sports' second team.
The Seagulls won 3-1 as Dan Potter scored twice with Luke Ormond adding the other.
Nick Davies was on target for Carew Seconds, although his goal couldn't prevent them from going down 2-1 at Clarbeston Road.
The result was their seventh defeat in 11 games although they put up a good performance against the second placed side.
St. Florence also went down as they failed to take advantage of home conditions as they went down 2-0 against Hundleton.
Kilgetty Seconds mirrored their first team by gaining a share of the points after drawing 3-3 against Fishguard Sports.
Liam Phillips, Duanne Rossiter and George Lander were the men to score for the home side in their third tie of the season.
St. Clears' Seconds also shared the points as they entertained their counterparts from Solva.
The game finished 3-3 as Parry Johns, Lloyd Evans and Seimon Walters all scored for the home side.
Lawrenny Seconds entertained Broad Haven Seconds and won 2-1 thanks to a brace of goals by Steve Campbell while Manorbier United drew 2-2 against Cosheston Cougars' Reserves, with Mike Ryder grabbing both in a bruising encounter.
