Molly, who is a professional dancer for Park Dean Resorts, ran in aid of the unit as a thanks for the care her mother, Kate Preston, received there.
Molly said: “The event happened in Swansea on Sunday June 7. This was my first ever running challenge, I completed the half marathon in 2 hours and 8 minutes.
“This was my way of thanking all the staff at Glangwili ICU for caring for my mum after she nearly lost her life to sepsis and organ failure.
“The run was challenging but I had lots of support from family and friends.
“I would like to thank everybody at Glangwili ICU: the doctors, nurses and all other staff involved in making mum’s stay in hospital comfortable.”

Molly, a former Ysgol Greenhill Tenby student, praised the staff at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit and shared what it means to the family to see her mother recovering in their care: “Without the 24/7 care and 110% effort from all the incredible staff, we’d have never been able to have our Kate home.”
Claire Rumble, Fundraising Officer at Hywel Dda Health Charities, said: “Well done Molly, what a fantastic achievement. You should be very proud of yourself. Thank you for using your time to raise funds for such a worthy cause.

“The generous charitable donations we receive don’t replace NHS funding. Instead, they are used to provide items and activities above and beyond core NHS expenditure, such as more welcoming surroundings for patients, families and staff, and the latest equipment.”
