Tenby Swifts Under 10s welcomed last year’s Pembrokeshire Cup runners-up, Crymych. Tenby knew this was going to be a tough game. The cold wind didn’t help matters, as all players were struggling with cold hands. The Swifts were led by captain Thomas Prince.

The game kicked off and right away both teams went on the offensive, with Crymych scoring first.

Tenby struck back right away and the game went back and forth with both teams scoring; however, Tenby could never get ahead.

Half-time the coaches got the boys motivated and Tenby scored twice which put them ahead for the first time; however, Crymych equalised and the game was all tied up.

Evan C, Iestyn B and Ollie T linked up well, but as Evan went over the line he dropped the ball.

Captain Thomas was the first to pick the boys heads up and get them back into the game. The final whistle blew 7-7, an excellent battle between the two teams and the score showed that.

Thomas led the team well, tackled when needed and showed great strength in the ruck. Because of this the coaches voted him Man of the Match.

Tries: Evan (3), Thomas (1), Jayden (1), George (1), Ollie (1).
