Tenby Under 14s Swifts team rounded off another superb season with an appearance at Parc Y Scarlets last Saturday, representing Pembrokeshire as cup champions.

The cup final two weeks previous had been against Crymych in their back yard, where a solid, dominant performance had seen them run out victors by 20 points to three. Two tries came from captain and man of match, Lewis Morgan, one from Ovi Angel, with a conversion and penalty from Alex Wainwright.

Preparations for the Scarlets appearance were intensified after a heavy defeat to the same opposition, Llandeilo, last year. It was to be a different story this year as Tenby competed in every facet of the game. However, Llandeilo are a class outfit and Tenby found themselves trailing by 15 points to three before George Rossiter scored as full-time approached. With Tenby on the front foot, Llandeilo were relieved to hear the full-time whistle - final score 15-8.

Dave Sangster said: “Another incredible season for these young men who have trained hard, improved and competed. Well done boys, well done coaches, well done parents. This is living!”

A huge thank you to new kit sponsors Red Kite Solicitors/Fisher and Family Building and Plastering Contractors. Also to Swifts chairman Rachel Grieve and outgoing fixture secretary Julia Gooding.
