The First XV entertained high flying Crymych last Saturday, in sunny Spring conditions.
Crymych had only lost one match all season prior to the game and were looking to add valuable League points to their bid for Championship status.
Meanwhile, despite a challenging time at Crickmarren, the home side as always were keen to create an upset.
The hosts started very brightly and scored the first try. However, after settling to their task the visitors gained the ascendency and their very sharp backs proved the difference on the day, showing their full array of strategies and skills to carve a large number of scoring opportunities.
The home pack competed very favourably and put their opponents under pressure on many occasions, but eventually the visitors ran out very worthy winners by 5-57.
The Panthers had to cancel their home fixture with Morriston, due to injuries and illness hitting the camp.
The Youth too were not in action, whilst many of the Junior age groups played over the weekend.
The Under 16s (pictured) won their match and now progress into Finals Day on May Day weekend.
The U14s too won their way into the Plate final, whilst the Under 8s, 9s, 11s and 12s all had wins against the Quins and the U13s narrowly lost to Milford.
The First XV travel to Aberystwyth with the Youth squad on Saturday, both kick offs are at 2.30 pm.
Congratulations to the ‘Pointless’ team, who won a very competitive quiz night last Friday in the clubhouse, with an 85% total.
