A new innovation, the Friday night social ‘Touch Tens’ has seen large numbers of rugby and non rugby players of both sexes participating and having fun at Pembroke rugby Club.

The pilot has been the brain child of Eleri Williams and will continue for the next two Friday evenings, starting at 6.30 pm, everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the fun.

Training has been under way for a few weeks in the senior sections of the club, with Junior age groups starting in the weeks ahead.

On Saturday, August 5, the club is hosting a charity match, organised by ex-player Richard Jones, who is hoping for a big crowd as he is raising funds for Wales Air Ambulance and Friends of Morristion Hospital, both of who provided so much support at the time of and since his horrific road accident three years ago that saw him lose a leg.

Gates open at midday, with some exhibition matches to be followed by match involving a Club XV versus a Misfits XV.

The First XV have confirmed a number of pre-season fixtures, August 12 Furnace away, August 19 Tumble at home and then they play Llangwm home on Wednesday August 23, KO 7pm in the first round of the Pembs KO Cup.

The club welcomes any new players and anyone interested in joining to play should come along to the Tuesday and Thursday evening training sessions that start at 7pm, under new Head Coach Gary Price and assistants Darren Gilbert and Rob Hearn.

The Junior section (ages U7-U16) will be holding their usual Registration Day for all age groups on Sunday August 13 between hours of 10amto midday.

A further Registration event will be held on Friday September 1st, 6-7pm for all those unable to attend in August.

The U12s have taken up an invite to play in a tournament that will see them play and enjoy the fabulous experience of playing on the Cardiff Arms Park in August.

Congratulations to all members of PRFC TRI Club athletes on completing both the Long Course in Tenby and more recently the Ironman Swansea half triathlon.
