With the Pembrokeshire KO Cup on the horizon and both teams in need of match time, this was a welcome opportunity in an otherwise washed-out winter fixture list.

Recent wins against Cardigan meant that Narberth at least were in the right frame of mind and it wasn’t long before that began to show. It was also a chance to give all the squad a run-out.

With Jordan James injured, Harri Harries slotted into the scrum-half role and Isaac Hughes took the number 10 berth.

Rhys Kemble forced his way over for the opening try after early pressure from the visitors and Harries converted.

Soon after, quick-thinking and quick hands by Stephen Pilot brought a rare prop’s try in the corner and from then on the result was never really in doubt.

There were long-range solo scores from Kemble and Leon Whalley. Griff Evans picked up a score after a kick and chase thanks to the deft hands of Harries, who clocked up five conversions in total.

Tatty Lloyd finished off the first half with a try and Owain Hughes and Talfan Jenkins completed the job in the second half.
