Neyland RFC 68 pts.
Pembroke Dock Quins 7
The Quins, with a depleted side, truly came unstuck at the Neyland Sports ground on Saturday on a cold, blustery day, shipping no less than 10 tries in the process.
It took the Pembrokeshire All Blacks just five minutes to open the scoring when loose-head prop Luke Dawes crashed over in the corner.
Outside-half Toby Hayman just failed with the conversion.
Further tries soon followed, with two each for right wing Ben Goodridge and fullback Patrick Bellerby, and to make matters worse for the Quins, Hayman converted all of them.
Ironically for the Quins, they did score a fine try through Jordan Asparassa which arguably was the best of the lot and well orchestrated through outside-half Ben Hathaway, who also added the extras.
With Neyland having the advantage of the slope in the second half and with a 33-7 lead, it looked an almost impossible task for the Quins, but the opening quarter belonged to the visitors, with Dean Wilcox again leading from the front with some powerful bursts. He was ably suppored by Jack Davies and Alex Pierce, who was once again outstanding in a losing cause.
Hathaway was also effective once again with some fine clearance kicking, which seems to be improving with every game.
The All Blacks, though, were in no mood for sentiment, and added five more tries through flanker Sam Cataki (2), Ben Goodridge, Craig Power, and Adam Cawley, all of which were converted by Hayman.
Quins team: Jordan Asparassa, Aaron James, Thomas Doyle (capt), Aaron Cookson, Ben Hathaway, Bradley James, Jack Davies, Ben Hughes, Nathan Abrahams, Dean Wilcox, Martin Culley, Carl Scott, Alex Pierce.
