Former rugby players at Whitland and Narberth have announced reunions to be held on the same day!

The Whitland RFC Old Players Association will hold a reunion on Saturday, April 13, prior to the home SWALEC Championship match between the Borderers and Pontypool.

Commenting on the reunion, association secretary Paul Kirk said: "All former players are welcome to attend the reunion to meet up with old playing colleagues and friends when old memories can be revived."

The Narberth RFC Former Players' Association will hold a reunion on the same date prior to the SWALEC Championship fixture at home to Glamorgan Wanderers.

The principal guest will be former Llanelli and British and Ireland Lions centre Roy Bergiers and in addition former Wasps centre Graham Searle has also been invited as a guest.

Speaking about the Narberth reunion, association treasurer Peter Spacey said: "All former players of the club will be most welcome to attend the clubhouse from 12.30 pm for the pre-match reunion.

"At the reunion, members can enjoy a complimentary pre-match buffet and drink, but more importantly renew old friendships, enjoy some reminiscing and the opportunity to catch up on personal news."

Both associations continue to grow. Former players can join the Whitland RFC Old Players Association, for a joining fee of £20, which includes the price of an association tie and the annual membership is £10.
