Narberth 6 Angle 3

Narberth earned a hard-fought victory over Division Two side Angle at Llandissilio last Thursday evening.

Narberth started brightly and were soon three goals to the good.

Firstly, Aled Thomas found player/manager Matthew Price, who chipped Luke Lawrence in the Angle goal.

Narberth doubled their lead with the best move of the match. Morgan Preece played a one-two with Price before hammering the ball past Lawrence to make it 2-0.

Narberth continued to press and Price beat Lawrence at his near post for number three.

However, Angle were determined to make a fight of it and scored twice before the break. Chris Richards scored with a neat finish and a mistake in the Narberth defence let in Gareth Howells to score from close range.

Narberth scored another three goals in the second half. Matthew Price completed his hat-trick, as his low cross eluded everybody and found the bottom corner. Aled Thomas headed number five and the same player smashed the ball into the roof of the net for number six.

Chris Richards added another for Angle late on.
