Saundersfoot Sports Club (sponsored by LG Leisure Ltd) played away to the Manchester Club in Milford in their latest league match on Monday evening and were 3-2 winners.

The first frame saw Dave Wooles play S. Gardener. Dave started the brighter, opening up a small lead early on. As the frame progressed, though, he found himself eight points down midway through. Neverthless, he battled on and by the colours had turned things round to lead by two, after which he continued to pot well to eventually win on the pink. Well played.

The second frame saw Dean Ludlow play M. Gardener. Dean started well, but by midframe was two points down. The gap had increased to 10 by the colours and, although he continued to battle on, it was to no avail.

The third frame saw Martin Durham play J. Greenish. Up against a good player, Martin started cautiously, but despite keeping things tight, found himself 18 points adrift midway through. Like Dean before him, he battled on gamely, but eventually succumbed to defeat.

The fourth frame saw Darren Morgan play A. Dundas. Darren started well in a game which ebbed and flowed and midway through it was all level. By the colours, Darren was 10 points to the good, but his opponent fought back to make it a black ball frame, which Darren eventually potted to secure victory.

The final frame saw captain Glyn Davies play J. Hackett. This was probably the worst frame for potting all night, with both players struggling, but it was Glyn who eventually prevailed on the pink.
