Saundersfoot Sports Club (sponsored by LG Leisure Ltd) played at home to the Power Station Club from Pembroke on Monday evening and were 4-1 losers.
The first frame saw captain Glyn Davies play L. Goldsmith. Glyn was in good potting form again, winning by the green ball.
The second frame saw Martin Durham play P. White. This was a close affair, with both players potting well and the lead changing hands several times, but it was the Power Station man who eventually nicked it on the black (unlucky Martin).
The third frame saw Steve Barlow play S. Bourne. Steve was again getting no run of the balls and, up against a good player, succumbed on the yellow.
The fourth frame saw Dean Ludlow play M. Rees. Dean, not in the best form of late, was up against a man in good form and, although he battled hard, it was to no avail, finally losing on the black.
The final frame saw Darren Morgan play P. Grimwood. Darren started well, playing some good shots, and by mid-frame was 15 points up. He extended his advantage to 20 by the colours, but then let his opponent off the hook, allowing him to claw his way back into it and win a frame Darren should have won.
