Pembrokeshire played West Glamorgan on July 22, at Carew Cricket Club, with West Glamorgan scoring 186 in their allotted overs, with Morgan Jones (64), Lewis Thomas (37) and Joe Phillips (25), being the main scorers. For Pembrokeshire, Jack Parkinson (3-22) and Kurtis Marsh (2-28) were the main wicket takers. Dafydd Bevan had three stumpings with a direct hit from covers by Scott Jones, taking the other wicket.

Pembrokeshire got off to a slow start with tight bowling from West Glamorgan. Scott Thomas and Lewis Thomas both (3-9). It was only Kurtis Marsh - 52 (6 fours) and Dafydd Bevan (18) who got into double figures.

The following Sunday, July 29, Pembrokeshire made their way to Bridgend Cricket Club to play Mid Glamorgan. They lost the toss and were asked to bat.

Tomos Lewis opened the batting and was unlucky to be caught behind, when a ball reared up off a good length. This brought Dafydd Bevan to the crease with Scott Jones. The pair had amazing 217 partnership with Dafydd stumped with three balls to go on 92 runs (14 fours) and Scott not out on 121 (21 fours). There was some excellent running between the wickets and very good concentration and discipline. Geraint Jones hit the last three balls for three consecutive fours and the score ended on 242-2 in their 45 overs.

This was the highest score recorded by the team, surpassing the 202 they scored against Lincolnshire at the U11s Ipswich Festival.

Mid Glamorgan got off to a flying start and after 10 and 20 overs respectively were 20 runs ahead of the Pembrokeshire total. However, with the first four batsmen out in their 20s, they could not make up the score that was needed. Wickets kept tumbling. George Williams and Thomas Pritchard picking up the opening wickets. However, it was Greg Thompson (1-16) and Scott Jones (2-14) that took out the middle order. It was great to see Adam Parr (3-12) and Tom Hill (1-8) completing the bowling attack for Pembrokeshire.

There were three superb catches, one by Jacob Knox and two by Tomos Lewis. Dafydd Bevan had another good game behind the stumps, with one catch, a run out at the bowlers end and two stumpings. In total, it was a fantastic team effort.

Pembrokeshire have now made it through to the play offs, which is a just reward for their hard work, determination and excellent sportsmanship.
