Whitland went down to their seventh league defeat of the season after Carew chased down an imposing 208-8 to win by six wickets.
The Borderers' total was due in part to a fine innings of 48 not out by Steffan James that included three 4 s and a more aggressive 32 by Jonathan Thomas that included five boundaries. Paul Davies also chipped in with 26.
Thomas was in the wickets too taking 2-57, yet Ian Sefton smashed his way to a brilliant 127 not out with 21 fours and three 6s, while Nic Scourfield scored a more sedate 21.
Narberth played host to Haverfordwest and despite making 183 all out in their innings, they still went down to their fourth defeat of the year.
Marc Hughes's magnificent season continues as he struck and imperious 58 with one 6 and 11 fours, while Wayne Howells hit 35 and Ben Quartermaine a quick-fire 26.
The Town batsmen found batting easy against the home attack as they only lost three wickets in reaching their target with skipper Danny Potter hitting and unbeaten 73.
Lawrenny saw off the challenge of Llanrhian to ease to a six wicket victory. Chasing a total of 173 to win, Steve Lewis proved to be the hero with the bat after smashing a brilliant 70 with eight 4s and three 6s. Huw Griffiths also chipped in with some valuable runs hitting an accomplished 40 not out, while Brad McDermott Jenkins slammed four 4s and two 6s in his 31.
Earlier, Rob Williams claimed 5-23 to help reduce the home side to 172-8.
Cresselly have really hit their straps of late and proved this with a three wicket win away at St. Ishmaels. The home side batted first and scored 152-10 after Simon Cole took 3-15 and Sam Harts 3-39, while Iwan Izzard struck a brilliant unbeaten 95 in the reply with 15 fours and one 6.
Whitland seconds were in the runs again as they set Haverfordwest seconds 236 to win at the Racecourse following David Lee's 53 and Paul Webb's 37.
It wasn't enough though as the home team chased it down for the loss of six wickets despite Webb taking 3-42.
Lamphey showed why they are candidates for relegation after a humiliating 230 run defeat at Johnston.
The home side posted 292-7, and in reply, the visitors were shot out for 62.
Adam Chandler made a rare appearance for Carew and showed why he is such a good player by striking 88 for the seconds against Burton. Skipper Haydn Shapcott was also in the runs hitting 68 not out while Johnnie Harries took 3-40 in the reply.
It wasn't enough though as the visitors romped home by six wickets thanks to Phil Sutton's 70.
Cresselly seconds' skipper Matthew Lewis took 8-32 to help dismiss Pembroke for 110 despite Barry Evans and Phil Hay scoring 36 apiece, while Richard Harris struck 66 not out to help ease the side home.
Danny Caine proved his all-round credentials by smashing an unbeaten 101 against Stackpole and then following it up with five wickets as his team romped to yet another win.
Setting the home side 266 for victory was never going to be in Stackpole's grasp as Paul Mansbridge hit 46 and James Caine 49 before Caine junior got to work.
Josh Davies scored 76 not out for Stackpole and Antony Canton took 3-45.
Narberth seconds held on for a draw at Crymych after the home side set them 207 to win for the loss of five wickets.
In reply, Arron Keane scored 53, while Kyle Quartermaine and Mark Wood both scored 20 as the visitors' innings closed on 152-8.
Saundersfoot seconds drew at home against Llangwm after setting them 207 for victory with the visitors holding out on 177-6.
Chris Hawkes scored 50 for the home side and David Parcell 41, while George McBeth took 3-22.
Pembroke Dock had a day to forget at home to Llechryd after being bowled out for 135 despite Nick Daley's 27 and Scott Griffiths's 26.
The visitors lost six wickets in the chase with Griffiths taking 2-22.
Kilgetty beat table toppers Neyland seconds away from home to continue in their quest for promotion after the home side could only muster 135 all out against the visitors as three players took two wickets apiece.
Peter Hall held the reply together with a masterful 40 with Jake Marsh hitting 37 and Ross Hardy 31 not out as the second placed team romped home for the loss of three wickets.
Meanwhile, there was no game for St. Clears at Fishguard.
Lawrenny beat Carew thirds by nine wickets after the visitors scored 126-5 with Gethin Evans's 43 and Don Booth's unbeaten 24 being the highlight.
Steve Campbell wasted no time in chasing down the runs hitting a brilliant 89 not out, while John Fuller was there at the end scoring 25.
Cresselly thirds scored 176-9 against Haverfordwest, but it wasn't enough to stave off defeat as the Town's third team passed it for three wickets.
John Richards hit 33 for the home side and Matthew Palmer 66.
In Division Five, Pembroke seconds bowled out Camrose and Spittal for 137 to win by 28 runs. Earlier, Nigel Phillips hit 56 and took 5-39 in the reply while Don Patel hit 32.
Pembroke Dock seconds lost by 123 runs at Herbrandston after the home side posted 243-4 the only highlight for the Dock was Chris Boyett's 27 and N. Roberts's 24.
Hundleton are all but up after yet another win after they chased down St. Ishmaels' 199 all out after Paul Fox took 4-41.
Phillips Price scored 61 not out in the reply and Ben Adams 34 not out, while last week's centurion Jonathan Williams scored 39.
Narberth thirds lost at home to Stackpole seconds after being bowled out in reply to the visitors' 230-8 for whom Richard Simons scored 43 and James Adie 67, while Whitland thirds scored 187-10 at home to Crymych seconds with Hefin Thomas hitting 50 and Jack Mason 41 as Gethin Benjamin took 4-33 and Kieran White 3-19 to help bowl the visitors out for 90.
Meanwhile, Lamphey seconds lost against Burton thirds being bowled out for 64 in reply to the visitors 192-9 with Rhys Miller taking 4-28 and Haydn Cole 37.
