News from Tenby Sailing Club...

Dinghy Racing: Osprey sailors Dave Griffiths and Maurice Clarke are lying 9th out of 39 after nine races in the Tata Steel Blue Robin 2024 series.

Carwyn Owen, crewing for Paul Bambridge is in 4th position. The other Tenby members taking part in winter sailing were disappointed in Neyland last Sunday, when racing was cancelled.

Clubhouse: The well attended ex-Commodore’s Quiz last Saturday was a close fought affair, with Team ‘Knew That One’ coming out on top. The next brain teasing event is on Saturday, March 9.

Junior Training: Spaces are still available for any youngsters over the age of 8 to learn Sailing skills under the careful eye of Alistair Mackay, the Club’s Training Principal. Registration is on 3rd and 10th April 3 and 10 at 6 pm and the course starts on April 17. Greenhill pupils are most welcome to join in.

Councillor Sam Skyrme- Blackhall held a meeting for all Tenby Sports Clubs on January 16 to voice their concerns. Alistair Mackay and Gill Rogers represented TSC and put forward the Club’s main problem of slow responses from Pembrokeshire County Council, making difficulties for forward planning.
