Hakin United 1
Narberth 1
Narberth remain top of the table after a hard fought draw, away to champions Hakin United last Saturday.
The Bluebirds were a goal down inside the first minute of the game, as Ashley Bevan scored with a stunning free-kick.
However, Narberth weathered the early storm and prevented Hakin from getting a second goal as 'keeper John Durbridge saved a shot from Bevan and Leigh Broome headed wide from a corner.
As the half went on, the Bluebirds got more into the game and Dorian Davies scored with a screamer of a right-footed shot to level matters going into the break.
The second half was a drab affair, with not much in the way of goal scoring opportunities and as the game reached the final stages, it appeared that both sides were happy to settle for a draw, although Narberth's Morgan Preece did force a save from Hakin 'keeper James Manson late on.
The game ended with both sides keeping their unbeaten records intact.
Narberth player/manager Matthew Price said: "Our game plan went out of the window in the first minute, but I have to be happy with a point away to the champions."
Tomorrow (Saturday), Narberth entertain West Dragons in the first round of the West Wales Cup, kick-off 2 pm.
Narberth squad: John Durbridge, Dorian Davies, Richard Henton, Jamie Fleig, Iestyn Scourfield, Aled Thomas (Adi Jones), Jordan Williams, Justin Blewitt, Tony Evans, Matthew Price (Dean Morris), Morgan Preece. Sub not used: Simon Cole.
