SAUNDERSFOOT’S Sam Coleman helped his Team Brady retain the UIM E1 World Championship on Saturday in Miami, sealing back-to-back championships.

After winning both group races to progress straight to the finals, the team maintained their flawless form with back-to-back victories to secure the championship crown.

Their commanding performance saw them finish ahead of Team Rafa, capping off a remarkable and hard-fought season at the top of the E1 World Championship.

Tom Brady, team owner said: “I couldn’t be prouder of Team Brady for bringing home two straight E1 World Championships.

“Sport is about strength, resilience, and consistency — the same mindset that drives us every single day on the water.

“Two championships don’t just happen. They’re earned through relentless effort, total commitment, and belief in each other.

“We’ve proven what’s possible when you chase greatness with everything you’ve got — and trust me, we’re only getting started. LFG!”

The weekend was managed flawlessly by the team, with a solid shakedown on Friday, P2 in the combined time trials, and a strong qualifying race from pilot Emma Kimiläinenwhich gave the team P2 and two crucial points, to maintain a two point lead going into Saturday’s decider.

Sam won the first group race on Saturday, putting Emma in pole position for the second race.

She led that race from the first corner to send the team straight into the finals, where a showdown with all four championship contenders awaited.

A quick start, alternate strategy and strong pace throughout Final 1 gave Sam the win and put Emma on pole position going into the title deciding final race.

With everything on the line, Emma and the team kept their cool – taking the lead from a flawless start - and commanding the race from there on, coming in to win the race with a 15-second lead over championship rivals, Team Rafa.

Emma also took fastest lap and PIF pilot of the day for her performance.

Sam said: “What an incredible feeling. Coming into the weekend, we knew we had the lead, we knew the target was on our backs - but we came in with that same fighting spirit, and we delivered.

“It feels amazing to show how much we’ve grown this season, learning from our mistakes and coming back stronger every time. Every time we go on the water, we learn something new, and that’s what keeps us pushing forward.”
