On Tuesday, December 27, the third Nic Webster-Smith memorial match was played between Tenby and Kilgetty.

Due to the adverse weather conditions, this year's game was played on the astroturf pitch at Greenhill School and resulted in both teams being able to play some good passing football.

Both sides were again made up of former friends and team-mates of Nic's, and the eventual winners of the Memorial Shield, donated by Scaffold 2000, were Tenby AFC.

This year, Nick's family requested that any money raised on the day should again go towards the Cleddau Warriors Disability Football Club.

The club are now in their fifth season of football, and provide opportunities for both children and adults to learn the skills of the game whilst having lots of fun in the process.

The club has over 30 members and they take part in disability football events all over the country. This is a fitting local charity as Nic spent time during his work placement in Year 12 at Brentford Football Club coaching disabled children within the community.

A raffle and donations raised £467 for the club. This final total was bolstered by sponsorship raised by Adam Thorne, Tom Dennis, Tommy James and his wife Jenna, who were brave enough to take part in this year's Boxing Day Swim.

The event organisers and Nic's family hope the monies raised will help the Warriors to continue offering such a valuable experience to all of its members.
