Three local footballers, played a part in a close match between the Wales Under 18s Schoolboys and their neighbours England recently.
Left back Spencer Williams and centre back Owen Coombes, who both attend Tenby's Greenhill School, along with midfielder Laurie Haworth, both represented their country in the match against England Independent Schools played at Owestry.
A cracking game eventually saw England come out on top 4-3. However, on a positive note, all three local lads, from the Haverfordwest Football Academy, performed superbly, with Haworth getting on the score sheet in only his second appearance for Wales.
Wales Under 18s Schoolboys will next take on Republic of Ireland on Friday, March 6, in Bangor, as part of the Centenary Shield Internationals that will be televised on Sky Sports.
