Heatherton played host to the first round of the men's Open Pairs competition on January 30. Chris Bromham and Alan Whitehouse played against a strong Dinefwr pair, losing 28-27. Bad luck there gents.

Better luck was had by our other two teams playing at Llanelli on January 28.

Steve Reese and Colin Wynn beat R. Chisholm of Swansea 19-10, while John Roberts and Michael Jackson beat P. Richardson of Llanelli 16-13. Well done gentlemen!

The next round is due to be played at Sully and Cardiff on Sunday, February 23. Good luck!

It was very quiet last week, with a lot of our players on a bowling jaunt to Torquay.

They had lovely week of bowling, returning on Friday last.

Last weekend, Gemma Amos and Katie Thomas (pictured above) played in a Junior International series game at Nottingham, Katie getting her first Welsh cap. Both played exceptionally well in their games.
