South Pembs GC was the venue as the Castle Inn, Manorbier, Golf Society met up for their first match of the new season.

The day was sponsored by Manorbier Stores and Post Office and also Harbwr Brewery, Tenby.

Fifteeen members braved the wet and windy conditions, playing a Texas Scamble in teams of three.

The winning team was Rob Hall, Ian Fyles and Graham Bond, net 68.9. Second were Simon Jones, Rob Izzard and Gerald Codd 71.1.

The wooden spoon was ‘won’ by John Drury, Kevin Bolton and John Hughes, 76.4

It was then back to headquarters, The Castle Inn, Manorbier, for some very welcome food and beverages.
