The undefeated Under 11s played host to Clarbeston Road on Saturday, with the weather at last being kind after a run of cancelled matches due to waterlogged pitches.

The game started well, with both teams eager to put their own stamp on the game, but it wasn’t long before Dylan Kidd got his foot on the ball and hit the back of the net. Further goals came in the first quarter for Tenby from Jack, Max (2) and another from Dylan K.

At the end of the first quarter the score was 5-0.

In the second quarter, the Clarbeston Road ’keeper made some excellent saves and they were unlucky that the next goal came off one of their own players.

Clarbeston Road battled well in the this quarter and Tenby were only able to increase the score by two more from Iori and Tristan.

At half-time the score was 8-0 to Tenby.

Although there was a change in players throughout the quarters, allowing goalkeeper Kyle to come out of goal and Iorri Richards to go in, and later Leon, there was still some lovely play from the Tenby side, but Clarbeston Road remained firm in defence and the Seasiders were only able to create two more goals in the third quarter from Dylan K and Tristan.

Clarbeston Road finished this quarter by scoring a great goal of their own to make it 10-1 going into the last quarter.

In this final 15 minutes, Clarbeston Road camped themselves on their own goal line and made it more difficult for the Tenby boys to get through, but some long range shots and good passing saw them create many more chances, with goals from Dylan K, Iori (3), Max (2), Kyle and Jack.

Final score 18-1 - another solid performance boys.

The boys and their parents are now eagerly looking forward to their Spanish trip and playing in Villarreal in a few weeks time.

Team: Kyle (1), Jack (2), Iori B (4) , Iorri R, Tristan (2), Leon, Max (4), Dylan K (4), Dylan D, George, Toby and Lewis.
