A dry but windy Saturday morning saw Tenby Under 7s travel to Pennar Robins in a thrilling game of football.

The game started very close but Tenby really start to show their progress and played some great football.

The game was quite pysicial with Pennar putting in some hard tackles but Tenby matched them in every department and managed to win the game 7-3.

A huge crowd gave both teams a well deserved round of applause for their great sportsmanship and efforts.

Well done to Luc Graham for winning this week’s man of the match - his control of the ball and foot work was brilliant.

Under 8s

Finally, a Saturday morning where the weather held off for a game, albeit windy and cold. This week we played Neyland at home. A good all-round performance against a well-matched team. We came away with a 3-0 win.

Team: William Phillpots, Oliver Ingham, Toby Hilling, Kian Smith, Iori O’Rourke, Max Howells, Riley Lindsay, Blake Ryder, Jaded Graham, Ollie Toy, Carwyn Williams, George Hughes, Travis Davies.

U13s

The U13s travelled to Cosheston on Saturday in extremely windy conditions.

Straight from the whistle the wind proved difficult to play in, with long passes and throw-ins virtually impossible. The boys knew they had to keep the ball close and work it carefully from defence through midfield to the strikers.

This worked well for the Tenby boys and Max created the first goal, followed by a long range shot from Jack.

With the score at 2-0, Cosheston battled hard and soon found themselves deep in the Tenby half and brought the score to 2-1. However, Iori increased the score to 3-1 just before half-time.

The second half saw Tenby dominant and with strong running off the wing from Morgan, the score crept to 4-1.

Two more goals in the latter part of the second half from Max bought the final score to 6-1. Well done boys another solid performance.

Team: Kyle, Jac, TJ, George, Ethan, Iori, Morgan, Jack, Dylan, Max, Toby, Leon, Taine, Lewis, and Corey.

Under 15s

The seasiders faced a tough last match in the league at home to a decent Camrose team. With very strong winds, the conditions were a bit of a leveller.

The homesters started strongly and soon from the left Archie Smith cut inside and slotted it past the ’keeper.

Tenby continued to play some great football and defended well; Callum Karaka and Charlie Gregory pushed forward and the tricky Joe Evans was giving the visitors the runaround.

Goal number two soon came and it was a decent solo run and finish from the excellent Jack Jones.

Rhys Mansell (pictured) was dealing with the rare breaches of the back line and rarely looked flustered and coped with everything that was heading his way.

Number three looked on the way, but William Malone shot narrowly wide.

The crowd didn’t have to wait too much longer, though, as another cross came in from Archie and Jack had his brace for the day.

Camrose never gave up testing Tenby and looked destined to score, but a great defensive header from Charlie Gregory denied them.

The rocket Dylan Morgan was giving Camrose bags of trouble down the righthand side, but just couldn’t get his customary goal. So three-up on the half-time whistle.

The coaches had little to say before the second half and made a couple of rolling subs, with Charlie Phillips and Finnan Authur to name two.

Joe was still taunting the Camrose defence and soon he proved his worth as following a tricky run, the visitors’ keeper could only stand and watch the ball sail past for number four.

To their credit, Camrose continued to play some decent football, but yet another fine display from the whole Tenby team was snuffing out anything. Teejay Gardner was another having a go at the defence of the visitors and stood strong to stop any advance. Michael Davies was also causing havoc. Finnan was laying the ball off and making some decent moves and had his say in the game with a great strike which never looked anywhere but in the net for number five.

Rhys was little more than a spectator in the second half and what little action he was involved in he took well, but Camrose for all their efforts got the reward they worked hard for.

So this talented bunch of lads have won the league again without dropping a single point. Still they have the cup final to play against Clarbeston Road and arguably the biggest test to date with a home match in the Under 16s Welsh Cup against Bryncoch of Swansea. Thanks yet again for the fantastic photos from Gemma Jones.
