For the second week in succession, the weather intervened with the Pembrokeshire Football League programme and with persistent rain falling this week, matches over the forthcoming weekend could be in jeopardy too.
Only 11 games took place as wet pitches made grounds resemble quagmires, while in the case of West Dragons seconds v Lamphey seconds, the visiting Stags failed to raise a side.
Lamphey firsts were able to, however, and they travelled to Milford United and came away with a 3-0 win after goals by Josh Sture, Josh Dearsley and Ben Phillips, while Pennar Robins, having kick-started their faltering season with an unlikely win over Hakin a few months back, proved it was no one-off by holding the Vikings to a draw. The game finished 1-1 after Jason Donohue scored for the hosts.
In division two, Hundleton produced one of their finest performances of the season to hammer Goodwick United 8-0. Craig Manning scored three for the hosts and Aaron Goldsmith two, while the other goals came from Dylan Davies, Ryan Davies and Mark Edwards.
In division three, Kilgetty beat Carew seconds 5-3, while in four, St. Clears’ seconds lost 3-0 at Herbrandston. Better news for Pennar Robins’ thirds as they won 3-0 at home to Hubberston after goals by Jack Sullivan, Jamie Groves and Cameron Brunton. Good news for Monkton Swifts’ seconds, too, as they beat Letterston seconds 3-2 to make it into the final of the Division Five Cup.
