It’s the time of year again when it’s good to be a football supporter, tiring to be a football player and downright confusing and busy if you’re the football official tasked with compiling the raft of results that ping into your inbox.

Yes, mid-week madness has arrived once again with some teams playing up to three games a week as they attempt to play catch up while others can have days, even close to two weeks between matches if fixtures don’t fall their way.

Carew are certainly busy, with league games to play and cup finals to look forward to and they are certainly finding some form at the business end of the season.

On Wednesday they beat Milford United 8-2 thanks to goals by Scott Ferney, two apiece from Sam Christopher and James Hinchcliffe and a fine hat-trick by Jordan Richards.

Pennar Robins secured a great result securing a 2-2 draw with Hakin United at Bush Camp, Ben Adams and Sam Southcott scoring while in division three, Narberth seconds beat St Clears’ seconds 3-1.

Jordan Williams scored twice for Narberth and Liam Price once while Lewis Driscoll scored for the hosts.

On Tuesday, Monkton seconds beat Pembroke Boro 6-2 after Rees Davies struck twice and Wayne Boswell and Jordan Kilby once. The other came via an own goal while for the Boro, Phil John scored twice.

Pendine secured one of their most comprehensive wins of the season with a 9-3 victory over St Florence

Ash Smith scored twice for the Saints and Dewi Thomas the other but three from Peter Davies and Adam More together with a Chris Evans brace and a Nathan Davies goal meant the win went with the Gulls.

Kilgetty seconds drew 1-1 at Broad Haven while Cosheston beat Hundleton seconds 3-0.

On Monday, Carew drew 3-3 at Clarbeston Road thanks to a Jordan Richards brace and one from James Hinchcliffe while Pennar beat Milford United 3-1 after a Ben Adams hat-trick.

Carew’s best result came on Saturday however with a great 3-2 win over Monkton, a win that put a spanner in the works of Monkton’s title aspirations.

They are still in the box seat but any more results like this will really put them under pressure.

Narberth were at Hakin, losing 5-1 despite Jordan Williams’ goal while Pennar beat St Clears 4-2 , Ben Adams scoring twice with the other goals coming from Nick Willis and Dan Kitts.

Nick Cope scored for Saundersfoot but they still went down 5-1 against Goodwick United while in division two Kilgetty drew 1-1 at Camrose thanks to a Henry Lawrence goal with Hundleton going down 4-0 at home to Johnston.

A better result for Lawrenny however after they beat Letterston 3-2 thanks to an Owen James brace and one by Sam Davies but it was heartbreak for Monkton seconds after they lost in the semi-final of the division two cup.

They went down 2-1 against Milford United seconds, Wayne Boswell scoring their only goal.

In league action, Pennar beat Narberth seconds 4-0 with Carl Rees scoring three and Niall Brunton the other while Pendine lost 2-0 at Fishguard and Pembroke Boro lost 3-0 at Milford Athletic.

Cosheston are through to the final of the division four cup after beating Pennar thirds 4-3.
