Title hopefuls Monkton gained another win over the weekend after they travelled to Merlins Bridge and hammered the home team 5-1.
The hosts, who only the week before had beaten Hakin in the cup would have had high hopes of getting a win over one of the county’s form teams yet they came away with nothing after the Swifts showed their title credentials to the max.
There was no magic in the Wizards’ performance the only highlight being Joe Leahy’s goal as Ben Steel finished with a hat-trick followed by goals from Tom Powell and James Russell.
Carew meanwhile had their home game against Pennar postponed.
A fine win for Saundersfoot Sports too after they finished 4-2 winners over Milford United, the goals shared between Rhys Hewson, Jake Webster, Nick Cope and Richard Cope.
Victory for St Clears also after they beat Clarbeston Road 3-2 thanks to goals from Jonathan Thomas and a Nathan Evans brace.
After a tricky start to the sason Hundleton appear to have turned a corner and this was proved after they held Hakin United seconds to a 1-1 draw, Jack Blunsden scoring their only goal.
Kilgetty’s home game against Johnston was postponed while Lawrenny’s trip to Letterston ended in defeat after they went down 3-1, Harry Thomas grabbing the visitors’ only goal.
Carew seconds were at Clarbeston Road seconds and won 7-0 while Pembroke Boro’s trip to Goodwick was a sobering one after they lost 8-0.
Narberth seconds entertained St Florence although the visitors won’t want an invitation to Jesse Road anytime soon after their trip away ended in a 5-0 defeat.
The Bluebirds were in inspired form completely dominating the game after Dafydd Wright scored a hat-trick followed by goals from Karl Jones and Lewis Bansell.
If it was goals you were after then you should have been at Pendine after their game against Monkton ended in a 6-5 win for the hosts.
It was a real dong dong battle as Connor Bowen scored twice for the hosts with other goals coming from Damien Lewis, Nathan Davies, Adam Moore and Justin Blewitt while Monkton’s goals came from Wayne Boswell (2), Liam Butland and a Josh Sture Brace.
Pennar Robins’ seconds entertained Fishguard Sports’ reserves and shared the points following a 1-1 draw in which Bill Hayo scored while St Clears’ seconds lost 2-1 at Solva seconds with Sion Blundell grabbing the Saints’ only goal.
Good news for Cosheston after their fourth division cup second round fixture ended in a 6-3 win thanks to a Darren Mason brace and goals from Dalton Boswell, Nathan Ferrier, Leigh Dignan and Sam Richards.
Kilgetty’s game at Neyland seconds ended in a 4-4 draw with the Kingsmoor outfit winning 3-1 on penalties while Hundleton seconds are through too following a 6-3 win at Pembroke Boro reserves.
Pennar Robins’ game against Camrose seconds was postponed.
