Hakin United returned to the top of division one after a week or two lying in second place following a comfortable win over Carew.
The Rooks, playing at home, gave the Vikings a tough ride early on, but eventually the overall class of the visitors paid dividends as they ran out 3-1 winners.
Shaun Whitfield scored the hosts’ only goal in the disappointing loss.
Pennar Robins made the short trip across to Johnston to put the Tigers to the sword, winning 5-0.
The Robins eased to victory thanks to a brace apiece by Carl Rees and Phil Thompson and a solitary strike by Richard Hughes.
Narberth entertained West Dragons and slipped to their 14th loss of the season after going down 7-1. The Bluebirds, with just six games remaining, languish second from bottom four points behind Milford United, although they do have three games in hand.
That said, their chances of survival are not good given recent results and this was no exception. Karl Jones grabbed their only goal.
Meanwhile, Monkton Swifts entertained Angle in the division’s top derby and like most derbies, this was a close one. The hosts finally came out on top, winning 2-1 after goals from Jason Finnegan and Matthew Davies.
In division two, Lawrenny went down 4-2 at Fishguard Sports, despite goals from Thomas Lewis and Owen James, while it was a great day for Saundersfoot Sports as they won 5-0 at home against Goodwick United seconds.J ake Webster was on fire for the hosts, scoring a hat-trick, with Sam Coleman nipping in for the other
.In division three, the derby between Carew seconds and Narberth seconds went the way of the hosts, with the Rooks winning 4-2. The goals were shared around for the winners between Thomas Arthur, Thom Scourfield, Herbie Haggar and James Worrall.
Elsewhere in the division, Pendine overcame Manorbier United 6-3.
In division four, a goal by Marcus Humm allowed St. Clears’ seconds to gain an away draw at Angle, whose goal was scored by Dalton Boswell.
Three goals by Anthony Webb and one each by Byron Woodward and Jamie Earie was enough for Lamphey seconds to grab the points at Solva seconds, with the Stags winning 5-3, while the rest of the league programme was decimated by the weather.
