Pembrokeshire football league fixture secretary Mickey Phillips has admitted that the football season will creep into the forthcoming cricket season due to a fixture backlog.

As a result of the rainfall in recent weeks, a host of cancellations has meant the football season extending past this year’s Senior Cup final.

Unlike last year when the season was extended due to unprecedented circumstances, only two games will be played after this year’s cup final, providing a host of scheduled fixtures are not postponed in the meantime.

The fixtures are coming thick and fast now, with some clubs playing twice a week in order to complete the list on time.

Monkton travelled to the Obs to challenge Hakin United yet the hosts were in no mood for visitors as they sent them packing following a 5-0 win.

Narberth were eager to test themselves against Carew yet they lost 4-0 at Jesse Road after goals from Jacob Knox, Max Brindley, Shaun Whitfield and Alex Bailey.

After losing their unbeaten record in 2017 last week, Pennar went down to another defeat at the hands of Merlins Bridge, losing 3-1. Craig Asparassa scored the Robins’ only goal, while in division two, the bragging rights on the game between Lawrenny and Saundersfoot Sports went the way of the Sports following a 4-1.

Owen James scored for the Gavenyards, but two goals from the in-form Richard Cope, followed by scores from Jake Webster and Sam Coleman, ensured the Sports won.

In division three, a hat-trick by Henry Lawrence followed by a Michael Beynon strike and one from Joshua Bevan, ensured Kilgetty picked up a well-earned win at Clarbeston Road.

Over the weekend, Angle lost 8-1 at home to Hakin, Pennar beat Goodwick 3-2, Lamphey prevailed at Neyland 4-2, with West Dragons beating Narberth 5-0.

Monkton lost 3-2 at home to Merlins Bridge.

In division two, Hundleton drew 1-1 with Solva and St. Clears beat Merlins Bridge seconds 3-2.

Kilgetty won 5-0 at home against Manorbier United, while Carew beat Milford Athletic 3-0.

A win for Pennar third, too, as they beat Solva seconds 4-1.

Finally in division five, Carew thirds drew 2-2 with Letterston seconds,
