Kilgetty Association Football Club has retained its Platinum Accreditation level.
Following an audit of clubs, including Kilgetty AFC’s accreditation application, the FAW issued information to all clubs on their accreditation levels for the 2022/23 season, and the Club has retained the highest award, Platinum.
“Your club has been accredited to ‘platinum’ level through our club accreditation programme,” stated the FAW Accreditation Team.
Kilgetty AFC were awarded Gold Accreditation by the FAW for a number of years before achieving Platinum accreditation when it was introduced in 2019.
The club is one of a few in Wales to achieve the accreditation based upon strict criteria, and it is thanks to the dedication and hard work of all Kilgetty coaches and volunteers that the club was able to reach, and retain, this level.
“Our dedicated coaches, volunteers and committee continue to work hard to make football accessible to our community,” said Kilgetty AFC chairman, Lukas Gamble.
“We now have over 250 members, two senior men’s teams, a new women's team and growing numbers in our junior girls’ and boys’ teams. Supported by local sponsors our club works hard on ground maintenance, providing safe and quality coaching.
“We hope with continued support we can maintain our Platinum Accredited status and we're always looking for ways to develop and improve as a football club.”
