Favourites Neyland won the Duggie Morris Cup final held at Burton on Sunday afternoon. The Neyland side wore black arm bands as a mark of respect and remembrance of the late Martin Gale who was a steward at Neyland Athletic Club for over 30 years.

In the first innings Neyland batted first and posted a total of 119 for 7 wickets. In reply, Narberth scored 135 for 6 leaving Neyland 16 runs ahead at the interval.

After tea, Neyland scored 144 for 7 and Narberth battled bravely but scored 101 runs which meant Neyland won the trophy by 27 runs.

Neyland Captain Sean Hannon was presented with the D R Morris Trophy by Graham Morris who made the presentation on behalf of the family of the late Duggie Morris. Presenting Man of the Match Jack John with his trophy was John Hayman.
