Last Friday saw the doubles knockout take place at various venues in the town.

Commiserations to the following who lost out in the quarter finals: Danny Unsworth and Lyndon Williams (Dragon), Kevin John and Jeff Jones (Dingle), Simon Griffiths and Steve Owen (Alpha A) and Malcolm Harries and Tony Marson (RAOB B).

The following players have made it to the semi-finals to be played on Friday, May 24: Clive Jones and Jamie Bate (RFC Otters), Robert Thomas and Steven Elliott (Taf B), Lyn Williams and Colwyn Harts (Jeff A) and Paul Emmanuel and Andrew Evans (Whit RFC A).

Achievements on the night: Paul Emmanuel 180, Paul with Andrew Evans 20 and 2x18 darts, Lee Thomas and Bob Beecham 2x21 darts (Wisemans), Gavin James and Barry Llewellyn 21 and 17 darts (RAOB A), Robert Thomas and Steven Elliott 20 darts, Colwyn Harts and Lyn Williams 20 darts with a 180 for Lyn.

Last Sunday saw the Jolly Challenge take place and with £150 in prize money up for grabs, it was a bit of a shock to see only five teams enter. Winners on the night were the Dragon, who beat the RAOB in the final. Thanks also to the Dingle, RFC Otters and Fishers for making the effort.

Tonight (Friday) sees the singles taking place at eight venues. All players are asked to be there on time for an 8.30 pm draw.

Sunday, meanwhile, sees the captains, vice-captains, landlords, ladies and under 21s knockouts taking place at the RAOB. Draws will be made at 7.30 pm.
