Following a disastrous result at Fishguard the previous weekend, Pembroke Dock travelled to Haverfordwest on Saturday hoping to redeem themselves.

Sadly, it was not to be as another below par performance saw the county town winning by 86 shots to 54. The rink skipped by Hugh Williams was the only winning rink.

The following day a severely depleted side of just 13 players travelled to Whitland and despite a valiant effort went down by 82 shots to 66. With three rinks consisting of three players instead of the usual four, 25% of shots scored on the depleted rinks were deducted.

On Wednesday evening, Fishguard & Goodwick are the visitors to the Memorial Park followed by Saundersfoot next Saturday – hopefully home advantage will pay dividends otherwise a battle against relegation beckons!

In the second division, Warrior players are enjoying a much better season. On Wednesday evening they gained a superb 82 – 75 win against Milford Haven, picking up 12 points. This was followed by an excellent all round performance against Tenby Five Arches on Sunday afternoon, winning by 86 shots to 80, clinching another 12 points.

Meanwhile the ladies section has enjoyed an excellent start to their season in the West Wales Ladies League with both sides, Pembroke Dock & Pembroke Dock (Park) sitting closely behind Saundersfoot Ladies at the top of the league.
