Condolences

The committee and club members would like to send Hayley and family their condolences on the death of Lee last week. Our love and thoughts are with you all at this sad time.

Green Opening

The bowling green was officially opened on a very warm and sunny afternoon last Saturday. Club chairman Mr. Fred Broomhead asked all to stand for a minute's silence in memory of Lee Richards on his passing last week. Club president Mr. Peter Hooper said a few words about how good the green was looking and thanked a very loyal band of bowlers who had been looking after the green all winter, and lately doing what the new greenkeeper had asked them to do as the green is looking very much better, thank you boys, without the green, there would be no bowling. Peter then mentioned Lee and said that wherever you are Lee, we hope you have got your hat on, we never saw you without it! God bless.

Peter went on to open the green by rolling the Ken Hewlings silver jack and then he rolled his four woods to officially open the bowling green for the 2015 season and wished all teams, Tenby, Five Arches, the ladies and whoever plays for the Carruthers competitions, good luck.

Bonus Ball

The winner of Saturday's bonus ball was Dai Spencer with number 43, congratulations.

Fixtures

Tomorrow (Saturday), the Five Arches men are playing a friendly game against Pendine, away at 2 pm (greys). Tenby men are not playing until Saturday, April 29, when they will be playing against Saundersfoot at home. Tenby Ladies' first game is on Monday, April 27, away to St. Issell's.
