Narberth picked up their first win of the season in division one after a hard fought victory over a battling Saundersfoot side at Jesse Road on Monday evening. Narberth were two goals to the good at half-time. Player/manager Matthew Price shot into the bottom corner on the half-hour mark and minutes later Ashley Williams headed home a Justin Blewitt cross to make it 2-0. Shortly after the break, Price beat his marker before drilling the ball home to make it 3-0. Saundersfoot striker Chris Millward netted straight away to give the visitors hope, but almost immediately, Price crossed for Tony Evans to give Narberth another two-goal advantage. Harry Goforth headed a goal from a corner for Saundersfoot, but Narberth kept pressing and further goals from Ashley Williams and Tony Evans completed the scoring. After a goalless draw in St Clears on the opening day, Narberth player/manager Matthew Price said: "I am very pleased to win this game, Saundersfoot had a good result at Tenby and we expected a tough game tonight."
