A young photographer has been shortlisted for a prestigious award,

Thomas Stubbs from Tenby is in the Under 12s category of the RSPCA Young Photographer Awards 2008 (YPA08) with his entry, 'Life's a Beach'.

The YPA08 judges have whittled down thousands of entries from England and Wales to a shortlist of 33 spectacular shots, with the winners being announced at an exclusive awards ceremony at HM Tower of London on December 12.

The winners will receive top Olympus photographic equipment, while the overall winner will also get the chance to go on an exclusive RSPCA photoshoot.
