An 11-metre yacht was towed to safety in the early hours of Thursday morning (May 22) by RNLI Angle's all-weather lifeboat. The yacht, with two adults and a dog on board, was five miles south of Linney Head, on the South Pembrokeshire coast, and had damage to her sails and was unsure of her fuel levels. The Tamar class lifeboat Mark Mason was launched at 12.23 am and was on the scene in 37 minutes. A tow was rigged and the yacht was taken to Milford Docks, arriving at 3 am. The tow was released and the yacht, under her own power, made her way alongside the Mackerel Stage. The lifeboat was released and returned to her station, where she was rehoused at 3.23 am, after three hours at sea.
