Macmillan Cancer Support would like to extend a huge thank you and well done to everyone who took part in the World's Biggest Coffee Morning this year

A lot of hard work and imagination went into organising some amazing events all over the county and all the effort (and baking) has really paid off.

Coffee mornings in Pembrokeshire have so far raised over £9,000 and money is still coming in!

Sue Reece, fund-raising manager, said: "We are thrilled with how World's Biggest Coffee Morning has gone this year, I am astounded by the level of commitment and hard work that all of our supporters have put in to making this year's World's Biggest Coffee Morning an even bigger success than last year.

"We'd like to thank everyone who took part and a big thank you to Chevron for launching the event in Pembrokeshire this year."

The World's Biggest Coffee Morning was a huge success all over South West Wales this year with nearly 500 events in total and money still counted and final totals eagerly anticipated.

All of the money raised will be going towards all of the brilliant services and professionals which Macmillan funds.

As well as the well-known nurses, there are Macmillan occupational therapists, welfare benefits advisers, pharmacists and physiotherapist who all support people affected by cancer in Wales.

The money raised will go towards improving the lives of people with cancer and help them to gain access to the best possible services and support.

If you still have money from your coffee morning to donate or would like to donate to Macmillan Cancer Support, then please contact the South West Wales fund-raising team on 01792540079.
