As I am sure you are aware, in 2014 Britain will be marking the 100th anniversary of World War I.

Saundersfoot and District Historical Society is helping to co-ordinate local events and shall be staging an exhibition at the village's Regency Hall from Friday, August 1 to 8.

We have had a good response to our appeal so far and thank those who have come forward with items and stories.

If you or your family have anything you feel important or significant you would like to contribute to the exhibition, please contact me, Mary Cavell, on (01834) 812604.

The society can arrange to collect any items or would be delighted to hear your stories. We will of course scan any photographs and documents to use in the exhibition and return the originals as soon as possible.
