The women of local churches in Pembroke, Pembroke Dock and surrounding area joined together at St. Teilo's Church, Pembroke Dock, to celebrate the Women's World Day of Prayer on Friday.

The service had this year been prepared by the women of the Bahamas and St. Teilo's had been decorated with flowers and flags of the islands.

Mrs. Cath McManus spoke on the theme 'Do you know what I have done for you', Jesus' words after he had washed his disciples feet.

Mrs. Rosalind Silcox, the local WWDoP organiser, presented Mrs. McManus with a bouquet of flowers to thank her as she had spoken to the fellowship on many occasions and will be returning to America in the near future.

The collection amounting to £222 will be used to help Christian charities around the world as well as in Great Britain.
