At a presentation at the Lee Davies Day Centre in Narberth this week, the town's Winter Carnival committee presented the group with a cheque for £1,200.

The generous sum raised at last year's successful winter spectacle has enabled the Centre to purchase two specialised electric reclining chairs with support from the Teifi Valley Stompers and discount from Snowdrop Mobility in Haverfordwest.

In the last 10 years, the carnival has raised approximately £15,000 for both local and national good causes.

Pictured at the presentation with carnival founders, John Davies and Clr. Wynne Evans, and carnival committee chairman, Freda John, are Centre members, Peter Lillycrop and Ann Hughes (seated); Gwyneth Johns, Centre manager; Friends of the Lee Davies Centre, Mrs. Dorothy John and Mrs. Mavis Murrell; together with other Centre members.
