Pembrokeshire's first ever Wrap the Mummy competition is being held in Lawrenny to celebrate Halloween.

But unlike their Egyptian ancestors wrapped in ancient linen, the Pembrokeshire Mummies will be trussed up in ghostly old toilet roll.

The unique event will feature teams twisting into a frightening frenzy to completely wrap one team member from head to foot in toilet paper to the tune of The Monster Mash.

"We want to create a really special, spooky night. So bring your terrifying teams to our Horrible Halloween Hoolie at Lawrenny Cricket Club at 8 pm tonight (Friday) to take part in this haunting county first.," said organiser Nikki Nutt. "Full embalming will not be required!"

Tickets for the Halloween Hoolie, which starts at 4.30 pm with children's party and supper, are available from the Lawrenny village shop on 01646 651866.

All proceeds raised from the event will go towards the upkeep and maintenance of the village shop.
