Town Hall

Among forthcoming events at Whitland Town Hall is a Christmas Fayre on Friday, November 21, at 6 pm. There will be various, stalls, games and raffle and the entrance fee of £1 will include tea and biscuits.

People interested in becoming trustees of the hall are also invited to apply to Mrs. Phillips at Rhondare, Velfrey Road, Whitland.

"Come along to our meetings held on the second Monday in the month at 7 pm," she said. "If you are new to the area, this is the way to meet people and join in the community welfare."

There are lots of classes at the hall, including karate, aerobics, short mat bowls, social dancing, sequence dancing, birthday parties, parents and toddlers.

Cricket Club

Last week's winners of the 49 Club were Gareth and Jackie Phillips with number 39.

Rugby Club

Tonight (Friday), Bingo will be played at the club from 8.30 pm onwards.

Tomorrow (Saturday), Whitland 1st XV are away to Carmarthen Quins in Swalec Division One West, while the Wanderers 2nd XV are home to Bonymaen in the Carmarthen Tyre Services League.

Whitland Youth are away to Aberystwyth Youth. All matches kick-off 2.30 pm.

Mermorial Hall

Weightwatchers is held at the Memorial Hall every Monday evening from 6 pm.

Elvis night

 

Simon Henley is Elvis and will be performing live at Whitland Sports and Social Club at 8.30 pm on Saturday, October 18. Tickets, £5, are available from the bar.
