With another year complete, it’s time to remember with fondness the times we have spent as a community together. 2016 saw another successful Whitland Week, especially the carnival, when the town came out to have fun and enjoy true community spirit.

I have enjoyed my first few months as Mayor, meeting and laughing with new friends, listening to your stories and helping whenever I can.

I am convinced 2017 will be a year of growth and excitement for Whitland.

We are a community ready for new experiences, eager to take control of our future and together we can make a real difference to both Whitland and our own lives.

So when you make your New Year’s resolutions, make sure to keep space for your community, the people around you, the town you call home, for together we can achieve anything!

I’d like to wish you all a happy and blessed New Year!
