Whitland Under 7s 0 Crymych 6

Crymych proved to be the stronger of the two teams again, although the score is not a true reflection of the game. Whitland battled hard in the first half, with every player giving one hundred per cent, and they went in at the break just one down and still in the game.

Crymych stepped up a gear in the second half and scored a further five tries, but credit to all who played and kept going to the final whistle.

Man-of-the-match went to the hard-working Tom Williams.

Whitland Under 8s 4 Crymych 6

Whitland knew they were up against a well-disciplined and organised Crymych team, and it was they who came out on top in a ding dong battle, with Crymych always pinching the lead.

Whitland went in at the break four tries to two down, these being scored by William Rees and the impressive Iwan Morgans, who deservedly had man-of-the-match.

Whitland scored two further tries in the second half through Josh Davies, whose excellent running and support play kept them in the game, but Crymych kept on coming back at them, scoring two tries of their own.

No training next Friday.

Whitland Under 9s 3 Narberth 4

One of the nicest days of the year so far and Whitland had their work cut out against Narberth.

Narberth scored their first two tries and then Whitland had a lucky break and scored their fist try by Rhodri Lewis.

Narberth dominated the first half, with the score 3-1 at the break. The Whitland boys came back in the second half to three-all, with tries from Rhodri Lewis again and Che Thomas, who had an impressive run to the try line.

Whitland Under 10s 6 Narberth 4

This eagerly-anticipated match began with a scorching try by William Lewis, who was fed the ball by Jack Flanagan after Jack Richards had ripped it from Narberth.

This was quickly followed by a repeat performance, but this time, Daniel Evans, Rhodri Rees and Lewis Jones were the instigators and again a try was scored by William Lewis.

Narberth put on a good show, but the first half was dominated by Whitland.

Following some superb tackling and rucking by Sion Benjamin, Scott Lloyd, Daniel Evans and Gino Setaro, the third and fourth tries were scored by Jack Flanagan, who sprinted to the line, and Jack Richards, who showed a wicked dummy and sidestep to dodge several Narberth players.

Narberth fought back and gained four tries, but the game wasn't over. Jay Griffiths, Lewis Jones and Antonio Setaro knocked a Narberth player into touch to turn the ball over, leading to a lineout and some skilful passing across Morgan Short, Scott Lloyd, Iestyn Bowen, Daniel Evans and finally William Lewis, who scored again.

The final try of the match came after an excellent tackle by Steffan Morgan, which led to a ruck, where Daniel Evans, Sion Benjamin, Craig Gash and Jack Richards dominated the Narberth boys and Morgan Short scooped up the ball and charged for the line.

Referee Nigel Short declared it was the best rugby he had seen all season by both teams.

Man-of-the-match was awarded to Rhodri Rees.

Special thanks to Iestyn, Scott, William and Antonio, who at different times during the match played for the Narberth team, who were a player short.

Team fielded: Lewis Jones, capt., Jack Richards, Daniel Evans, William Lewis, Morgan Short, Steffan Morgan, Sion Benjamin, Rhodri Rees, Iestyn Bowen, Jack Flanagan, Scott Lloyd, Jay Griffiths, Craig Gash, Gino Setaro and Antonio Setaro.
