With £1,000 in prize money and Welsh ranking points available, the event attracted 81 entries from all over Wales.
The members of the Whitland Week committee would like to thank Malcolm Hawkins, Ray Davies and Tracey Hawkins Green, of Pembrokeshire Darts, for running and organising the competition.
Thanks also go to sponsors, Richard Pearse, Black Lion, St. Clears; Tooby and Williams, St. Clears; Wynns Car Sales, St. Clears; Victoria Bakery, Laugharne; Whitland Sports and Social Club; Corrs Brewery; Davies Builders Merchants, Whitland; Harries of Whitland; Rite Trak, Llanboidy; Andrew Rees Butchers, Narberth.
The quality of darts was very high throughout the day. Practice started at 10 am and four boards were kept going from 12 noon until the final held on stage between Alan Walker, of Gwent, and Lee Chenery, of Pembrokeshire.
This was a great final which went to the last set, with Alan Walker winning the first Pembrokeshire Carling Open.
The total raised for Whitland Week was £300.
